Benefits for Full Time Employees

A full-time employee is one who is designated as such by Human Resources or the department head at the time of employment and normally works a minimum of 37.5 hours.  This is not the same as  Full-Time eligible per the Affordable Care Act.

New Employee Orientation meetings are normally held once per month on Wednesday following the monthly School Board meeting.  At that time, your benefits will be explained; And, payroll and benefits paperwork is distributed and completed.

As a Full-time, contracted employee, you will automatically receive the Basic Group Life Insurance coverage through the Virginia Retirement System, valued at two times your annual salary.  You do not pay for this coverage.  You will also be given the opportunity to increase this coverage and add your spouse and children.
